It does work very well. BUT I turned out to be allergic to it!!
Warning: You may be allergic to diphenhydramine hydrochloride in Benadryl. Some are allergic to this orally and others only as a topical. Some who take Benadryl say it was the red dye in the oral form, but I don't know about that. But topical and oral reactions to Benadryl's active ingredient are documented, see here for published journals since 1983- [...]. Again, Benadryl anti-itch works great, unless you are allergic to it.

If you have mosquitoes and spend any amount of time outdoors, you will love this stuff. It helps all kinds of itchies. Bug bites, allergic reactions, rashes, etc. This is good stuff!
